This clock was found in an estate sale in Florida as shown. The beautiful part about the clock is the fact that the complex two component movement has been completely untouched and original to the case. All original and in working condition. The outer gothic shape mahogany case is very desirable and shows some material that has splashed over the existing original finish, However it can be easily removed with a simple method French padding technique near completion. The convex glass bezel lens is also surprisingly in perfect condition, (not a scratch or ding present). As soon as the clock was purchased it went through an intencive visual inspection of all moving parts as well as doors, hinges, wood, finish, metal, etc. and this is one of the best condition clocks I have ever found considering all areas of evaluation. The bells hammers were in perfect tune, and silent lever is in perfect order. It's really a wonderfull timepiece and piece of American history and technology.
